[EXPIRED] This Early Prime Day Deal Saves $10 on Your Next PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, or Switch Game

It’s official. Amazon Prime Day 2021 is actually Prime Days and will span June 21 and 22 this year. With the announcement comes a promo that equates to $10 in free Amazon money. Use this $10 credit for whatever Amazon purchases you like, but if we’re helping you decide, look no further than the plethora of new video game releases that drop in June for all major consoles.

Here’s how to take advantage of this early Prime Day deal.

First – be an Amazon Prime subscriber. I hope that’s obvious, but it warrants being said just in case. Not a Prime member? No problem, you can sign up for a free trial here. This free 30-day trial will carry you all the way through Prime Day and allow you to take advantage of all the deals.

Once that’s sorted, you’ll need to buy a $40 Amazon Gift card and apply promo code GIFTFORPD21. You’ll get a free $10 credit applied to your account in two days. All the details you need are on this page. Amazon states that this promo is available only while supplies last and limited to one per customer.

So now you have a $40 Amazon Gift card and an additional $10 in Amazon credit. $50 for a total spend of $40. So what do you spend it on? Allow us to pontificate.

I know for certain that I’ll be saving $10 on my preorder of Mario Golf: Super Rush for the Nintendo Switch. Other popular Switch new releases include Game Builder Garage, Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection, Alex Kidd In Miracle World DX, and Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny. Everyone one of them is worth space in your collection. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Wreckfest, Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade, Neptunia Reverse, and Guilty Gear -Strive all hit the streets for PlayStation 5. And Sniper: Ghost Warrior – Contracts 2 and Chivalry 2 are dropping on both Xbox Series X and PS5 later this month. You don’t have to stick only to our suggestions. Give Amazon’s upcoming video game releases a browse.

If you’re curious about what else Amazon is discounting early for Prime members ahead of Prime day, the list of deals and freebies is already growing beyond the gift card deal mentioned above. Battlefield 4 and several other PC games are free starting today. Several televisions with Fire TV built-in are deeply discounted in various sizes and resolutions. A few Alexa devices are already on sale like the 4th Gen Echo Dot Clock for just $44.99. Even Twitch subscription cards, apparel, and merchandise are all priced to move.

We expect Amazon to remain true to their pattern in previous years of Prime Day and fully expect more and more deals to be added each week. Good luck out there bargaineers!
